~WELCOME to Granny Fannys' Attic~ With the overwhelming increase in the number of children being diagnosed with Autism I hope to help raise awareness through my support of Adams Fund For Autisms. Close to my heart and a wonderful cause, you can find out more by visiting the either of these Adams Fund sites~ ~ A beautiful and worthwhile experience or~ .A note of thanks to old and new buyers/ friends who have made made it possible for me to share some of the finest antique textiles available on eBay. I am proud of my 4800 total feedbacks, a long list of loyal bidders and a reputation for honesty, quality, integrity and love for what I do. It would not be possible if it weren't for all of you! Thank you ~ and bid with confidence~ as my impeccable selling history speaks for itself! Chrisanne Aside from her "Woodland" cloth, which I will also be listing, this is the most rare and complex pattern created by Mary Card. It is one of several dozen pieces made by a woman who did crocet work for early publications such as Needlecraft and Modern Priscilla magazines as well as Mary Card books and pamphlets. It is a very rare find~ Museum quality and Pristine condition and very likely the only one you will ever see listed for sale! All items I sell are in ready to use condition and any flaws will be clearly stated.I take great care in my selection and preparation for sale so I am confident you will be pleased with the items I offer. I always presoak, launder and press all items so I know the exact condition and reflect that in my listings. NO SURPRISES!!! Most of the items I will offer are from estates or I have purchased them in Europe, as I travel extensively and I try my best to reflect age and description accurately. Thanks and visit again. The most exquisite piece of Filet Crochet work I have ever seen~ impeccably done in the Mary Card "Aquarium" pattern~ sometimes called Under The Sea, this pristine piece has a crisp snow white fine linen center and white crochet very tiny guage crochet thread~ worked in amazing delicate even stitches to create the most amazing sea life detail! The woman who made this did crochet pieces for Mary Cards pattern books, Needlecraft Magazine and The Modern Priscilla publications between 1904 and 1935 and I purchased her entire estate collection that I will be listing in my store To include a "Woodlands" cloth, several variations of the "Wild Rose and Pigeon" pattern and other authentic Mary Card pieces. It features anemone, a multitude of different fish, starfish, clams, conche shells, seaweed, crabs and other sealife. The detail is amazing and lifelike~ worked in miniscule stitches with finest guage thread that gives the illusion of lace and though very delicate to the eye it is very strong and sound and built to last forever. This pattern is so complex that t are very few completed cloths~ most in museums or private collections and this one is literally priceless. It is in unused perfect condition. The work is impeccable and it is a priceless piece of textile history. I have hand washed it with care so it is clean, strong, sound and flawless. It measures 44x46" and is a work of textile art. It was made in the 1910s and is a must for the finest linen collection and extremely well priced! *** My linens are labours of love and I take great pride in offering the finest selection, condition and variety of unique and special pieces. Enjoy all of my lovely linens, laces, trims and other unique treasures by clicking . Thanks!~ ~GOOD BIDDING~
