Sadly from my personal collection I am today offering for auction a Limited Edition statue of Napoleon, Almost 15" tall its a must have for any collector of either Sutty or Napoleon art. This item will stand with great pride on any mantel, (one of only 250 ever made!) incredibly detailed, and hand painted to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo 1815-1990, ( as per inscription on the base) Napoleon was arguably one of the greatest military minds history has ever shown and the artist Sutty seems to have captured the spirit of the man in a way that has rarely been seen before. What also makes this perticular item intresting is that Sutty did not produce many other items of this large 15" size. Originally cast in Stoke-on Trent, Staffordshire by one of Englands finest craftsmen Michael Sutty who has since sadly passed away ensuring this collectors piece remains elusive to all but a few, one of which is reported to be former British Prime Minister Margret Thatcher!
