This guaranteed authentic antique Nippon moriage ewer in the rare Cherry Blossom pattern is in excellent condition. The ewer is appropriately marked with the Morimura Brothers mark as shown that began in 1891. T are no chips, cracks, hairlines or other damage to the piece. T is not even any damage to the moriage which is extremely unusual for pieces like this that are about 100 years old. The only minor issue is an insignificant manufacturing flaw, when the piece was made on the bottom portion of the body (w is does not show when displayed) the moriage design did not entirely cover the white area used to outline the area for moriage. The ewer measures about 7 1/4" high and 5" across the body. The last piece of this rare pattern that I saw sold on Ebay was a vase which sold for over $2,000.
