Great Authentic Original Antique Solid Silver Kilt Pin from the mid 1800's or possibly earlier. Has the Silversmiths Hallmarks stamped on it. A very large or long Kilt pin as used in the 1800's or earlier. Measures 10 1/2 inches long and would double nicely as a dagger or weapon. Awesome!!! AND RARE original authentic antique!!! B e sure to add me to your favorites list ! Check out my other items !It is always nice to know who you are dealing with and what you are getting. My Second love, after my family, is History. I have been interested in the History of our world all my life, and what better way to be involved in it than to have . . .to own a piece of the Actual history that formed our world, whatever it may be. One thing I want to make perfectly clear . . . . I do not buy or sell junk . If you want junk, t are plenty of places that sell it . On the other hand if you want rare and valuable Antiques, and Antiquities that fit into the investment category, those that will forever go up in value, then this is w you need to be. I have been a collector of Edged Weapons and Antiques for many years and an appraiser of swords and edged weapons, all eras and all Countries. I have worked with The Museums in Switzerland and other Countries in identifying swords in the past. But I don't know everything, and would be a fool to say I did.I deal ONLY in authentic, antique edged weapons and other antiquities. I describe what I Sell exactly as it is, and I am open to any questions. Sometimes it is difficult to pin an exact date on a sword . . .or any item of historical value but the era can usually be rounded off by makers marks, style and design, materials used, and (true) patina. My specialty is in discerning reproductions. T are obvious ways, and some not so obvious, to discern the difference. Should you ever have a question about any sword you are thinking about bidding on or purchasing, I will be glad to give you my opinion on it.Swords are an investment . . . better than gold! They are an investment in history, romance, valor, chivalry and the very person who owned it.That in itself makes it one of a kind. A sword, edged weapon, or any antique will always go up in value . . .as long as it is well kept and cared for.
