This very old One Pint, 100 Proof, unopened bottle of "Mellwood Kentucky Whisky " has its label, seal and revenue sticker in good condition. The Revenue Sticker is marked " Bottled At Disteller Bonded Warehouse No. 36L District of Kentucky, Bottled Fall 1933, Made Fall 1917, 100 Proof. The level is down 1/3 due to evaporation but the bottle has never been opened. It comes in it's original box, which is not in very good condition, but showing the original logo of the Company. I recently acquired a large sum of very old botlles of Cognac, Brandy, Whisky and Rum from an old Gentleman, he had collected these over the years. This unusual bottle was "Bottled in Bond" under govt. supervision Age and Purity guaranteed by the U. S. Internal Revenue Stamp. This rare, old bottle will make a great addition to any old bottle collection. The value of the auctioned item is in the collectible container, not its contents. The container has not been opened, but any incidental contents are not intended for consumption. This item is not available at any retail outlet, and the container has a value that substantially exceeds the current retail price of the alcohol in the container.
