RARE OLD English Sterling Figural Bull Bear Paperweight

I am very pleased to offer this rare and unusual, fully marked, English Sterling Silver and Leather, Paperweight and clip with a full figural miniature Bull and Bear. Wow!-an early Stock Market or Stock Exchange item-I've never seen one like this before! It measures 6" long x 2 5/8" wide x 2 1/4" at it's tallest point. The bottom is heavily grained leather that is worn (just short of 100 years old!) but in undamaged condition. I'd say it was Green when it was originally made. The Bull and Bear are both highly detailed-each hair, each paw and hoof was no doubt hand-engraved. Another awsome feature is that each animal has genuine Ruby eyes! They sit on a straight Sterling platform which serves as a clip for sorting and stablizing loose papers. I believe that when this was made the base was a Vermil or Gold wash-the gold is nearly worn so that t is just a shadow left and you see the soft patina of old Sterling. T is a bit of a ripple in the base that the Bear sits on but that is the only call-out on the silver. Both figurines are in excellent old condition and the spring clips are working perfectly. The bull appears to be missing one of his tiny Ruby eyes-it is difficult to see because it is the side that is turned downand under. As to the marks, I read the Lion Pasant (Sterling), Leopard Head (London Plate), P in an upsidedown (crest?)-(1910-11) and the makers I will need to leave to you experts. Looks like a WH and the tiny mark I cannot make out. I have given this a light polish to echeck the exact condition but you may want to give this a final once over or buffing to bring it up to a high shine, if that is your preference. That's it-Did I leave anything out? What an excellent Christmas or Hanukkah gift this would make for your favorite Financial Broker or Stock Broker, Wall Street Guru, or anyone you know who loves to play with Stocks, Bonds, Hedge Funds or the like! If you use eBay's CHECKOUT, it will automatically send you my mailing address for check's or Money Orders. All paypal users will get a page back from paypal as soon as the transaction is complete-if you need additional information from me or have extra instructions, please note that in a separate e-mail, as I do no always open the Paypal pages until I am ready to ship your item. I am extremely reliable but I do try to eliminate unnecessary âeoepaperworkâe. I try my very hardest to keep shipping cost down but absolutely NEVER at the expense of risking your item to a break in the mail. My rule of thumb for shipping is that "it must be able to be dropped from 6 feet". Note to international buyers: Please donâe(tm)t ask me to make any inaccurate customs declarations-I will not do it. I give cheerful refunds of purchase price plus 1 way of shipping if items are not as stated-I admit I make unintentional mistakes on occasion! I hate that I even have to add this but as my eBay experience grows larger so does my occasion to deal with that tiny!!! percentage people who are not like the rest of all you great people who trade on eBay. I normally ship 1 time per week-not everyday- so please keep this in mind, when you are bidding and waiting on your package. Note to aol users: 99% of the time aol does not allow me to send e-mails to any of their addresses-they are generally returned to me. If you have an aol address and have not heard from me, chances are that I cannot get through to you! I leave feedback aproximately once a month and all at once-I appreciate your patience.
