You are bidding on a very Old Set of SIX Mwana Hiti Kwere Fertility Dolls Statues from Tanzania, Africa This is the second of two sets I am selling on ebay. I am proud to announce that I will have the privilege to sell a part of an outsdanding African Art Collection of more than 100 Original and Authentic Antique Decorative items (Bronzes, Statues, Masks & Carvings) that I bought a while ago from a fantastic New York private collection / estate auction sale. They are all authentic and from reliable sources and have been part of the same collection for a long time. I do have a large collection (in New York and Miami- of more than 100 pieces) of African images but don't have a very extensive knowledge about African Art. I just collect them because I absolutelly love Tribal Original Art. My favotite is art from Nigeria. I will try to describe the item as close as possible to what has been reported to me when I bought this collection. In this item's case I Know that these items come from Tanzania. I do not know the exact age of these Statues but I know that all the items from that New york collection have been with the same owner for many years (some of the items for more than 30 years). My price for this item is very reasonable in comparisson to similar items on line. It measures (at tallest, widest and deepest points): The Tallest: 6 1/4" Tall x 2 1/4" Wide x 2 1/2" Deep / 15.8cm Tall x 5.7cm Wide x 6.3cm Deep The shortest: 4 1/2" Tall x 1 1/2" Wide x 1 1/2" Deep / 11.4cm Tall x 3.8cm Wide x 3.8cm Deep The carving details are gorgeous. Please see pictures and feel free to ask me any questions about this item. CONDITION: Before you bid it is important to understand some facts about African Images (just in case you don't know). Most of them, especially the wood ones, have normal dry cracks, chips and paint loss due to many years of exposure to weather and other "deteriorating" conditions. I will try my best to report the accurate condition of all images I am offering on ebay. One has a superficial dry crack on its back (photo) One has a chip on its base (photo) Four with no surface damage. All of them have the typical minor scratching and wear to the surface and edges of the statue. T is some dirt/dust to the surface (see photos). Otherwise the figure is in good condition with the typical wear and tear of old African Statues due to aging and use which adds character to this absolutely stunning and important collector's item. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT IT. PLEASE READ THIS: I am an extremely honest person and have excellent reputation and feedback on ebay (feel free to check it). I will make everything possible to make any ebay transaction a smooth and positive experience. I will also try to describe the item as accurate as possible. Feel free to ask me any questions and for additional photos. I only offer unique high quality items bought from very diverse sources, collections and estates. I'll be offering other important art images, paintings, photographs and antiques on ebay. Bid with confidence. Good Luck __________________________________________________________________
