This auction is for a RARE Opalescent Reverse Swirl Pattern Toothpick Holder made in the 1880's. This is a Victorian blown piece of glass. The top would have been really rough as that would be the ending of the piece, before the top was ground by the manufacturer. This toothpick holder has not been re-ground as so many have by this age of their life. If these pieces were used and chipped, they would have been re-ground today, but when that happens the top section of the toothpick holder is no longer the correct depth that it was when original. This one is original and a very nice piece of glass at that. This beautiful piece of glass is perfect. The only thing you see is the imperfections of few bubbles and waves or marks in the glass from when this piece was made, which happened during the manufacturing process of the era. If you want Great Antiques ... then this auction is for you. The new owner will be very, very happy with this item. Size: 2 1/8 inches tall, 2 inches in diameter in the middle, 1 1/2 inches in diameter at the top, base that sets on the table is 1 5/16 inches in diameter Condition: Great.
