I'm downsizing my porcelain collection, so you have a golden opportunity to own a fantastic 18th century Chelsea-Derby tea bowl and deep dish saucer. Each piece bears the gold anchor and D mark which denotes a manufacture date of circa 1769-1784. Teabowl and saucer are fluted with a scalloped edge and are enamel-painted in turquoise and gold. As for condition, the saucer is almost perfect, with the teeniest bit of gilding loss in the design around the center decoration; the tea bowl has a small, shallow flake missing (a little over 1/8") on its inside rim. The perfect paint more than makes up for this loss --no rubbing of the gold whatsoever on the tea bowl.. The saucer measures about 1-1/4" deep and has a diameter of a little under 5". The teabowl's diameter is a scant 3-1/4"; its height is 1-3/4".
