This is a beautiful quality and quite RARE WWII german 40 year long service cross with 100% original eagle and oak leaf device's on the ribbon. The cross is bright glit finish and is maker marked on the ring( appears to be L/50?? or something close, it is not clearly stamped and quite tiny). The medal is near mint condition with bright gilt finish on the cross and both devices. PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR MORE PHOTOS IF YOU NEED THEM. For reference to a very similar medal, see page 564 of Detlev Niemann's fine book," Orders and decorations of Germany 1871-1945". We recently got some wonderful WWI and WWII german items from the estate of a long time german firearms collector who passed away. The 60 year old collection had some of the finest german arms and edged weapons. The person also decorated his collection with many fine german medals and badges and accouterments, and this badge is from that collection.Buyer to pay 4.50 for shipping and insurance is extra.
