RARE JFK ASSASSINATION REEL TO REEL TAPES FROM LOCAL NEWS BROADCASTING STUDIO EXCELLENT!!!
Up for auction are 2 original recording reel to reel tapes recorded by local recording studio KTAR following the JFK assassination. They contain actual recordings from right after the assassination from CBS, and contain eyewitness accounts, details of the shooting as detail arrived, and minute by minute updates. These recordings start when CBS first discovers news of the tragedy and one reel continuously plays for the next 60 minutes unveiling details and sharing rare information from eyewitness accounts. This truly is a rare and unique find, and your chance to own a piece of history! The other reel contains another 60 minutes of details as CBS learned about them including the account of the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald. I have personally listened to every minute on these tapes. The tapes are old, and must be handled with care. T is one splice in the middle of one of the reels. Please ask if these tapes will be compatible for your recorder. Poorly serviced recorders could possibly destroy these rare artifacts. These are 10.5" reels, with 1/4" tape. If you know anything about them, or have any questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to email me, and I'll be happy to start a dialogue and add details as questions arise. These tapes are compatible for any reel capable of playing 10.5" reels with 1/4" tape. These would make a great Christmas present for any history enthusiast! Any questions about authenticity I will be happy to field. The tape used by the studio is track-able, and the metal take-up reels unique to the studio, as seen by the logo in the picture.
