I am listing some items that I cannot really display, and I am beginning to list these pieces at an extremely reasonable buy it now price since I have had them for a quite a time and I really do not remember what I paid for them. I am hoping someone will appreciate and display it more than being stored or in a closet or a case. I will be listing uniforms, unit histories, flight equipment, B-17 and B-24 aircraft equipment, and other U.S. WW2 army AAF and Navy items. In addition, I will also be listing in the future RAF, RAAF, RCAF and other Army Air Force items. Please take a look at my other auctions as some of these items are quite uncommon and would benefit a collection greatly. Thank you so much for looking and please bid with confidence as I take all of my transactions seriously and will go out of my way to assure customer satisfaction. Please see my feedback, I pride myself on the items and customer service I provide. Up for auction is an extremely rare and beautiful 5th Army Air Force 5" squadron or group patch that is handmade with Chenille embroidering. I have never encountered another example such as this one, and the detail and condition of this patch makes it a very desirable squadron patch completely original to WW2. I believe this patch made have been made in theater, most likely Australian given the location of the 5th Army Air Force during the war, and this does not look like anything that would have been made in the United States at this time. The patch measures the standard 5" in diameter making it the size typical of that sewn to the front of A-2 Flight jackets, or perhaps the cloth B-10 or B-15 flight jackets. The patch is based on felt, and the 5th AAF design is embroidered in what I am certain is Chenille. The detail of the embroidering is something to be appreaciated. This is a wonderful and extremely pretty patch that I debated on selling, but I have decided that it is time for it to find a new home, and I am sure it will get a very nice one. This is a very good opportunity to get a beautiful, rare, and 100% original theater made squadron / group patch reasonably priced from a trustworthy seller. Please take a look at all of the detailed photos as I have taken numerous to show the detail and beauty of this patch. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful holiday season! Please feel free to ask any questions I would be happy to answer them. Please also look at my other reasonably priced auctions I will be listing more this week. I will be listing some rather rare pieces that may be of interest to collectors of U.S. Army, Army Air Corps, Royal Air Force and RCAF collectors. Please check my feedback. I take customer satisfaction seriously and go the extra mile to make my customers happy with the item
