This is a very rare two-volume ex-libris set of official U.S. Army histories of General George S. Patton's Third Army campaigns during WWII. This set was the official War College diary for all the Third Army operations during WWII. A must for any serious war history buff who wants to read the details from the planning on all levels, G1, G2, G3, G4, Transportation, Ordnance, Weapons, Supply, virtually every aspect of operations. Heavily illustrated with detailed maps of all unit movements, photos of personnel, tanks, literally a month by month study of the war. Many pages marked secret. Hundreds of pages with obscure details not found in other books. These are covered in black leather with Third Army patches on front. The limited photos in the listing do not due the set justice. Believe me, if you like WWII history this is a rare opportunity to obtain the official history of Patton's Third Army.Size: Approximately 16 X 24 inches and each is about 3 1/4-inches thick. Both volumes weigh about 20 lbs. total. Shipping is $26.00 [its heavy]. Insurance is $1.20. PAYMENT BY PAYPAL ONLY.
