A very rare book to find (out of print), " I Wear The Morning Star," by Harold Peterson, editor, and printed in 1976 for a show at the the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It is softcover, 93 pages, illustrated with numerous color and B&W photographs, with references cited. This catalogue was published for the exhibition, I wear the Morning Star, the first ever public display of Ghost Dance ritual clothing and paraphenelia used in the Plains Indian ceremonies of the 19th Century. This publication is a valuable tool for scholars, collectors, and layman alike, as well as a profound display of religious/ceremonial Plains Indian Art. I have provided a few scans of photos in the book, however, note that the actually images in the book are much sharper photo quality than my computer can scan. T are minor bumps on the corners, minor scratches on the on the cover, and a couple of small pressure marks on the right central portion of the front cover, but overall the publication is a great used copy (see pictures). Don't let this auction get away!
