A tour guide with maps of pre-WW ll Paris. The book is 4" by 6" and has a map of the Metropolitain (subway system). T is also a huge map attached to the back with a beautifully colored and detailed Paris on one side and central France showing the estates, railroads, roadways, and places of interest on the other side. (Both were inserted upside down). Guimin published a series of these maps beginning in 1915. This one was published in 1937. It contains a step by step four day tour of Paris with other black and white maps. Many of these sights were lost in the bombing. The covers are a heavy paper. When I first opened it the back cover fell off. The heavy 22" by 28" map is attached to the back cover. This can be repaired, as it is a clean separation. The large map, too, is fragile. T is one tear in the upper margin and a couple tears starting w the folds come together. This map needs to be framed to preserve it. It is beautifully engraved and the colors are as good as new. I have seen other Guilmin guides come up for auction, but never in this great condition.
