This fabulous and rare "Cooky" cookie jar by Pearl China has been part of my kitchenware collection for many years. Due to space limitations, I no longer have the room to display my jars so I decided it is time to part with some of them. This handsome guy is a hard one to sell but I guess I have to start somew He stands about 11" tall and is decorated with 22 Kt. gold trim and the name "Cooky" on the front of his outfit. He is in good condtion (shows very well) with the exception of some wear to the gold trim (minimal on his sleeves and more obvious on his buttons) and a double chip to the inside rim of the lid (see close-up). In addition, although I consider these manufacturing flaws I do want to mention several pin point size glaze misses in the rim of the bottom (very faint but see close-up) and I just noticed a pin-point glaze flaw on the rim of his hat over his left eye. This very handsome dude is still a great conversation piece and I have found his smile is highly contagious. He is marked Pearl China Co., Hand Decorated 22 Kt. Gold, U.S.A. #639. A wonderful addition to your vintage cookie jar or Aunt Jemima collections or just a great piece to key a watchful eye on you in your kitchen.
