SPEAR fleece zip up jacket made by PECKHAM INCORPORATED only for the U.S.M.C. What makes this fleece rare is that it is one of the COYOTE BROWN ones which are very difficult to come by. This fleece has a high turtle-neck type profile when zipped up to keep the cold out as well as Velcro wrist-adjusting tabs, two interior stretchy chest pockets, heavy duty elasticized waist adjusting cord, and two zip up slash pockets on the front for the hands. Like all true POLARTEC fleeces t are zippers in the underarm area. The fleece jacket is a size MEDIUM for a chest of 37" to 41" but these tend to run large as they are intended to fit over clothing. This fleece was likely made for use in either Afghanistan or Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. The fleece has the POLARTEC label inside and the "Made Expressly for the United States Marine Corps by Peckham" label with the anchor and globe hang tag inside the collar. The picture shown is the EXACT type of used COYOTE BROWN fleece that you are bidding on, however this fleece is tagged with the Peckham DSCP tag inside the collar and not the USMC collar tag. T is no fraying, or visible wear to the elasticated brown wrist openings which typically show wear first on these fleeces, the fleec material itself shows very little, if any wear or use, is soft, warm and in like new condition! The size tag itself is crisp and shows very little wear at all, otherwise this fleece is in VERY GOOD CONDITION and the fleece material looks great, showing only light normal wear! All original cord pulls are intact on all zipper pulls. A FANTASTIC and RARE COYOTE BROWN FLEECE!
