's a Picht typewriter, reportedly first made in 1899. It employs a typewheel printing system, simplar to a Blickensderfer, but the index has both printed characters for the sighted, and braille indicators for the blind! This enabled the blind to use the machine to type letters for the sighted to read. The indicator moves well from side to side and the typeball spins, elevates, and moves to the printing point as it should. Ink roller is dry, but t Note that it has the baseboard and lid, and that t's a tube for ink as well as instructions (in German) in the lid. This is a great opportunity to add a very nice machine to your collection!Sold as seen- please email with any questions- Good Luck!
