H A P P Y H O L I D A Y S ! !! RARE - 1950s PORGY & BESS REEB'S RESTAURANT S & P s TRULY UNIQUE & NO RESERVE!! Take a close look at this highly detailed & stylized salt & pepper set. Porgy poses like a "dandy", while Bess strikes a elegant pose & fans herself. Stamped on their backs "1950 Reeb's". Designed for Reeb's Restaurant, production & distribution was extremely limited on this set. VG condition, with no cracks, hairlines or chips. All paint is original. Porgy has slight paint flaking on his trousers & hand, Bess has a bit of flaking off top of her bonnet. 1950s, 5.25" tall. Composition: Pottery - appears not to have been kiln fired. Glaze seems to have been directly applied over the hand painting to give their shine. BOTTOMS HAVE ORIGINAL CORKS PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR PICTURES AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.
