Up for auction is a rare Red Wing Stoneware mini jug.It is in mint condition. It is from Betts & Johnson,Fort Smith Arkansas.This was a saloon on the 100 block of Garrison Avenue,Fort Smith, during the early 1900's. T is an order for this mini jug ,in the recently released "Potteries' Ledger" book.(Released by the Red Wing Collectors Society in July of 2007 ) The order date is Oct.2,1911.T were 300 2 ounce jugs ordered,stamped Betts & Johnson Fort Smith Ark . This is thought to be the only Arkansas advertising that Red Wing Stoneware ever did,period. is your chance to own one. This is a very rare Red Wing Stoneware mini jug.Gail Peck,co-author of "Red Wing Stoneware Value Guide",had a chance to view this jug in early December of 2007 .She had never seen one. It is a wonder how many of the original 300 have survived.This jug is going on a hundred years old.Please take a moment and consider the rarity of this jug. This is a piece for serious collectors,and I think it would top the list for a mini jug collector. It measures 2-3/4 " tall and is 2-1/8 " wide.Once again ,it is in new condition.
