I am pleased to offer this very early childrens teaset which dates from about 1820 - a very rare find nowadays, and lacking just one cup to make a complete set. It is a creamware-type body with the pearlware glaze, typical of the period. The transfer-printed decoration is very reminiscent of those used by Wedgwood, although the set is not marked(very rarely were such sets marked). It consists of: lidded teapot with its stand(a rare find); 2-handled and lidded sucrier;milk jug/creamer;slop bowl(another rare piece); 6 saucers; 5 cups. T is inevitably some damage, as follows - the teapot has some restoration to the handle and rim; milk jug and 3 cups have hairlines. For a set of this age, I am sure any collector would find this acceptable. All in all a great addition to any collection of English childrens ceramics, and one not likely to come to the market again for a long time. For shipping outside the UK, I propose to pack the set into 2 separate parcels(this would enable adequate wrapping/protection to be used and keep the weight below the individual 2kg Small Packet limit for each parcel). Please ignore shipping prices shown this auction. They are correctly as follows - Airmail Small Packet to Europe $28; ditto Rest of the world $38; Royal Mail 1st class for UK is $15. I am starting at a low figure and it is a "No Reserve" auction.
