I believe it is art deco but it could be older. The bubble glass is painted on the inside. Each side has a slightly different picture of an exotic bird resting on a branch of tropical flowers. The two pieces of convex glass are held together with a gilt silver band with a jump ring at the top. It is beautifully done, this miniature painting measures a mere 1" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no damage or paint loss. Amazing that it even survived and so rare to find in this condition. A wonderful addition to any collection. Email with questions.
