KNSMOKEY'S JARS RARE - RARE - RARE * * * ERROR * * * UNLISTED! ! ALL NATURAL SCA COLORED PINT SIZED * * FLACOUS * * (NOT "FLACCUS) * * STEERS HEAD * * FANCY DESIGNED FRUIT CANNING MASON JAR Hello Everyone! You are looking at a VERY RARE TO FIND & UNLISTED - pint sized, shoulder seal fruit jar with a VERY NEAR PERFECT thick smooth mouth (with just a couple of insignificant inner rim flakes, as seen)... that is a RICH & ALL NATURAL sun colored amethyst (also known as SCA or purple) in color :-)! It is the jar in the middle in the comparison photo - next to a Ball Blue Half Pint *Ball Ideal* on the left & a Citron colored *ATLAS E-Z SEAL* jar on the right... that are also for sale in other auctions. The jar stands 6" tall (with its lid on) and has a mouth opening of approximately 1 5/8" across. It is jar #1015 in the Red Book #10 - is a VERY RARE jar to find anyway (**being an ERROR jar**)... BUT this one is in an UNLISTED & STUNNING SCA color! The jar has a ORNATE & BEAUTIFUL flower, leaf & berry design that goes around it and is embossed on the front with, "FLACOUS" (that's right it is MISPELLED, it should be FLACCUS) BROS." which is arched over "STEERS" to the left & "HEAD" to the right with a picture of a steers head in the center over "FRUIT JAR" which is arched in the other direction... please see the pictures! You see - the second "C" is closed making it an "O"... thus making the RARELY SEEN **ERROR** jar! The jars base shows very little in the signs of wear to it - with a nickel sized indented circle on it & is unembossed... again please see the pictures. To say that this jar displays AWESOMELY is very much an understatement - as it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT... just look for yourself, I know you'll agree! It looks SIMPLY BREATHTAKING in a sunlit window (and should get even darker purple with more exposure to the suns rays) - and would make a VERY IMPRESSIVE addition to anyones collection (beginner or advanced alike)... I GUARANTEE IT! The jar will come with its ORIGINAL & CORRECT - matching SCA colored screw on glass lid, that is stamped on top with "SIMPLEX" in a large diamond (that has a flake chip off the inside rim & a small cloudy area opposite it called a *bruise*, as seen), still looks OUTSTANDING - and is ready to be VERY PROUDLY displayed! Best of all is the jars condition... it is EXCELLENT! Most would call it NEAR MINT at worst and I would to, if not for the already mentioned trivial inner rim flakes (that are to be expected on any used canning jar of age) - NOT BAD AT ALL in my opinion... and that I am only mentioning for accuracy :-). THAT'S IT! Absolutely no other chips or cracks of any kind - and it is VERY CLEAN to boot! So don't miss this opportunity to add this RARE jar to your collection today!
