is a rare signed Handel Lamp dating from the Egyptian Revival period that began when Carter found his way into King Tut's Tomb. This lamp has a 7.5" reverse painted shade. It is perfectly proportioned at 14.25" tall. It has a geometric art deco design to the base. The lamp has been rewired. The silk tassle that hung from the on/off pull chain has worn away. T are no chips or cracks in the shade or base. The shade has an embossed basketweave pattern like a French basket weave. The base has never been cleaned and retains its original patination. I have a 40 watt light bulb in it and I think 60 watt would be maximum.
Please email with any questions. Note: I do not bill for insurance coverage. It is completely optional to the buyer. I do package very carefully and include delivery confirmation. However, once the item is given to the shipper, I can no longer be responsible for its arrival. Insurance, though not required, is recommended.
