Now this set would be a treasured gift for any cup and saucer collector! The last set I had like this sold this winter for well over $200.00 !!!! So I will leave the bidding up to you. So much prettier than my pictures captured. This is a beautiful hand painted Victorian antique Limoge cup and saucer set of very thin and delicate porcelain. The hand painting of the ROSES are masterfully painted by the factory approved artist "King" as signed on the cup. T is a beautiful array of background colors. The artist added raised hand painted enameling to the roses for added artistic dimension. The foot of the cup is ruffled and gilded. The original molds have raised detail on the cup, the elegant handle and near the scalloped edge of the saucer. The handle and edges are heavily gilded. The gilding is completely intact, except for some wear on the thin band on the inside of the cup. It is marked with the Bawo & Dotter (Elite) Limoges France Mark 11, this dates the set 1896 to 1920. Size: Saucer 6", Cup~ 4 5/8" with handle x 1 7/8" tall EXCELLENT CONDITION! No chips or cracks. Pieces shown in the background of my pictures are always pieces that I will be listing soon or pieces that are currently listed (unless they have sold). Please email with any questions. If you love Limoges , please see my "ME" page and "sellers other auctions " for more hand painted Limoges and Bavaria beauties!
