LALIQUE DESK PAD / WRITING ACCESSORIES SET WITH BIRD MOTIF

Matching set comprising of desk pad, calender holder, letter knife and hand held blotter.

The felt on the desk pad has some water stains which will not be seen once a new blotter slides into the grooves on either side.

The hand held blotter which is so common in the old days when fountain pens are used but seldom seen nowadays has grooves for inserting blotter sheets.

The metal plates and rings and screws on the deskpad and calender holder are gold plated.

Beautiful set, in very good condition except for 3 little nicks. Two of which are on the letter opener and one on the bird's wing in the calender holder as shown in the photographs.

Signed Lalique France both on the desk pad and the calender holder.

PLEASE NOTE: As kindly informed by another Ebayer, blotter is missing the semi circle piece that allows the blotter to rock over the ink so as not to smear it. Bought this set from Christie's ages ago, and as it was purely decorative, I have not realised it was missing, until now.
