This beautiful and rare Silver George II Cream Jug is of vase form with a superb fruiting tendril handle. The body is chased with floral decoration below a waisted and fluted neck and is crested. It has a cast spreading foot and a cast decorative rim. This unusual piece is by Daniel Smith and has hallmarks for London, 1759. It is also struck with an unidentified punch depicting what appears to be a cockerel with outspread wings.
