RARE SILVERED / MIRROR Cambridge Rose Point
Pristine Mayonaise Bowl and Underplate

You are bidding on a SILVERED Cambridge Rose Point Mayonnaise and Under Plate on a Pristine blank. When I say "silvered" I mean that is looks like it is a mirror with the Rose Point etching over the mirrored surface. I believe this is a rare piece - I have never seen this done before and neither had one of the email contacts from the Cambridge Glass Museum website. This is how I bought this item and am selling it as I found it. I don't know if they did this at the factory or if it was silvered elsew (IF you know about how/why and want to share the info, please do).

The plate measures 6 1/4" in diameter, the bowl is about 4" in diameter and the height (base of plate to top of bowl is about 3 1/4"). I do NOT find any chips or nicks on the 2 pieces.

BOTH mayo bowl and underplate are silvered so they look like a mirror. The silver goes up close to the top edge w it uniformly fades to almost clear. The bottom of the mayo bowl has some silver missing (see photo), and some minor little spots and t on the bowl itself and a few scratches that don't go all the way through the silver, but can be seen when inspecting the piece. The plate has minor loss of silver on the bottom w the base meets the table surface, but nothing significant (the plate is mirrored from the underside). The plate has a few light scratches to the silver, but again, mostly seen when "inspecting" the item.

I have tried to photograph this FABULOUS MIRRORED bowl and under plate to the best of my ability. Please email me if you have any questions about it.
