Up for bids is this rare New Bedford (Merril's Wharf) slavery scrimshaw. It is in perfect condition. This came from the estate of J.L and Miyoko Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler met in Tokyo, Japan in 1960 w Miyoko was working as a model. Mr. Wheeler persuaded Miyoko to marry him and to come to the United States w he worked as the North American Distributor of Datsun Nissan Forklifts. The Wheelers enjoyed a full life and traveled the world. I will be selling several items from their estate in the days to come. Buyer to pay for shipping and insurance.
