This collerette necklace was created during the Art Nouveau/Art Deco period. The Art Nouveau/Art Deco period (1895-1935) flourished in the 1920's in France , in E urope and elsew in the US . The Art Deco period derives its name from the Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes held in Paris in 1925. It is characterizes by many designs including the volute, banderol and foliage of the necklace presented Made of Yellow and White 18 carat gold , it is composed of five similar motifs shaped in volute, held on top by a banderol below which is a white gold triangular guilloche' design. Each motif is interspersed with four similar pendant in the shape of a drop. the necklace tapers off with a flat cable-type chain . Spring coil clasp for secure closure. The necklace is stamped twice, once with the French Eagle Head Hallmark , the other with a marker's mark which, unfortunately, is illegible. It is in excellent condition and is sure to please, as are all of our items.
