For your consideration: Genuine 1611 First Edition King James Bible Leaf Large Folio: 15.5" x 10.5" Herbert 309 Romans 3:21 - 5:21 Justification by Faith - Ch 3 Abraham's Faith - Ch 4 First and Last Adam - Ch 5 In a magnificent 100% archival Bifold Portfolio Each Bi-fold is unique and archivally safe, with black linen fiber cover, burgundy silk moiré lining, and archival sleeve-capsule.Opposite the leaf is a signed certificate Of authenticity (COA) on matte gold or similar premium paper, gold seal embossed with the Historic Bibles, Inc. seal. Cover is debossed in gold foil: "Original Historic Bible Leaf" and "Verbum Dei Manet Aeternum." Very Rare! This leaf is one of only two that will be offered in this format. Description: Auction is for a single leaf set in a 100% archival bifold portfolio, from a genuine 1611 King James Bible, in English. Herbert 309. This is the huge folio edition, 15.5" x 10.5". Editio Princips. Authorized by King James I. and published in England by Robert Barker, 1611. This is not a reprint leaf or a facsimilie or a copy printed after 1611, but the genuine article! Leaf comes with a handsome full size Certificate of Authenticity for this particular leaf, signed by Dr. Bruce T. Martin, with a gold embossed seal from Historic Bibles, inc.. Leaf contains ROMANS 3:21-5:21, with marginal notes. Woodcut "T" at the beginning of chapter V. In FINE- antiquarian condition; text intact. Small tear-holes to both margins; ragged outer edge; torn and frayed upper corner; staining to outer margin; small worm tract to lower margin. Nonetheless: clear, clean printing throughout. The theological content alone makes this a truly magnificent leaf! PICTURES ARE MARRED BY FLASH SPOTS DUE TO THE ARCHIVAL PROTECTORS THAT WERE NOT REMOVED BEFORE TAKING THE PICTURES.
