This is a Fantastic Rare & Unusual Deco Machine Age Modern Aluminum & Brass torchiere floor lamp probably from the 1930's-40's. The lamp is marked " ARTISTIC LAMP MFT CO, PAT. APPL." under the base. This lamp was truly ahead of it's time, it starts with a base made of solid cast Aluminum, the riser is made of a matte finished brass at the bottom with what looks like a stainless steel tube (magnet does not stick) and topped off with another section of matte brass. The porcelain lamp socket fits a mogul bulb (adaptor can be used for regular bulbs) and holds a glass shade. The light socket is marked "LEVITON" and rated at 750 watts which can safely handle a 300 watt, 3 way bulb if need be. It measures 11 1/4" across at the base and 58" tall to the top of the glass shade. Other than some spotting/surface wear of the metal (see pixs) and a tiny ding on the base (see pixs) the lamp is in great condition and is working perfectly!! What more can I say, this is truly a gorgeous piece of design history with NO RESERVE!! It will be shipped in 2 separate packages and wrapped accordingly to insure safe arrival. Since all items are vintage/antique we will leave the cleaning to the buyer. We have a return policy if not completely satisfied.
