This is an extremely rare G-1 auxillary gunner's protective helmet. Constructed of pressed paper, it was manufactured in limited numbers and tfore few examples become available on the market today. This example is in excellent condition, and all leather tabs with "lift-the-dot" fasteners are present (these would snap onto the cooresponding studs attached to a flight helmet). This is an opportunity to add this unusual piece to your WWII flight gear collection. Winner pays shipping and insurance, which I will calculate at auction's end.
