Rare Val St Lambert Cobalt Cut to Vaseline Goblet NR

We are fairly certain that this unusual glass is an early product of the Belgian company Val St Lambert, although it is not marked. It is identical in design, color and workmanship to a vase and a decanter that we have seen sold separately by antique dealers for thousands of dollars. This particular type of fine cut crystal is seldom seen and is an example of some of VSL's best work. We are offering it at a low starting price and with No Reserve! The goblet is 8 1/2" tall x 3 1/4" wide at the base (3 1/8" at the top). The cobalt blue cut to vaseline green and clear crystal is executed exquisitely. The stem is clear and t is a starburst pattern cut into the bottom of the clear base. As you can see in our photos, the uranium (vaseline) glass shines brilliantly under a black light. The only defect, which is probably why this unique, lone piece was for sale and we were able to purchase it from a European antique dealer several years ago, is a shallow 1/4" long fleabite to the rim visible in the enlarged photo. I have also shown a small indent at the top of the stem which is not a defect, but appears to have been designed for securing the goblet during the production process. This unusual and beautiful display glass has been a prized member of our glass collection, some of which we are offering for sale this week. Combine purchases to reduce shipping cost.
