Incredible and very rare Vandermark Pedestal Cake Stand in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. When have you ever seen an art glass cake stand? This stunning piece has an amazing iridescent stretch glass finish with red and opaque pulled and swirled design (see photo). Great early Vandermark piece is a collaberation by the 2 renowned artists at Vandermark, Doug Merrit and Stephen Smarr and is 11 1/2" in diameter and is signed on bottom of iridescent pedestal base "Vandermark 1974 SS/DM 0467". Martha Stewart was responsible for a huge resugance of interest in cake stands in the 1980's and this one has got to be the most magnificent of all!
