I can truly say that this is the most beautifully designed, hand crafted, vintage demi parure that I've ever had for sale on ebay! I believe it was manufactured by the Regina Novelty Company of New York City, which produced "Regency" jewelry from the 1950's until the 1970's. This brooch is the epitome of "Regency" style jewelry! It is made of the most colorful glass beads of different shapes and sizes, prong set rhinestones, baroque style faux pearls, unusual "cup" style settings for some of the beads, gold tone petals of different textures in the "flower" shapes, and gold tone leaves accenting the entire piece. All the stringing of the beads and setting of the rhinestones was done by hand to make the design. Then the different parts were fastened together to the filigree back of the brooch with tiny rivets. It measures 2 3/4" long, 2" wide and 1/5" deep. The earrings were fashioned in the same way. They have a right and a left earring, with them measuring 1 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1/2" deep. Although unmarked, this set is made in the style of "Regency" jewelry. It was made in the early 1950's, when many of the designers did not mark all their jewelry pieces. If marked with the Regency logo, this set would sell for $145.00 to $200.00 on the retail market. Excellent vintage condition!
