I will be listing somethings from of my late husbands and my collections. All of the items that were his, some have tags left on them to help me with information and some do not. I will do my best to be as accurate as possible, with my limited expertise. If anyone knows anything regarding any item, please email me and I will be happy to revise my description. I will be listing everything in Auction with NO RESERVE!! This is an absolutely fabulous Japanese Bronze Champleve' Base!! A wonderful piece of genuine Antique Bronze from the mid to late Victorian era or older? It is a beautifully crafted of thick heavy Bronze, featuring intricately carved designs throughout the body of the piece. It measures 13 1/4" high. The top is 10 1/2" wide across, with a 6 5/8" opening and measures 31" around the fullest area. It measures 23 1/2" around the middle and 43" around the base. You will see in the photos, the intricate design done in wonderful shades of enameling, that surrounds the top area. Again around the body in four seperate areas, you will see a Shield shaped design. This too is accented with wonderful enameled designs. I have had this piece in my home for many years. As the pics show, it has no bottom, and t is a hole on the rim of the base.
