YOU ARE BIDDING ON ONE (1) VINTAGE **RARE** FENTON JADITE ETCHED ELECTRIC LAMP. Well folks.....I acquuired this stunning lamp at a local estate sale. I didn't know how beautiful it was until I gave it a good cleaning (it had been packed away in a grandmother's attic for many years and was extremely dirty). To my amazement, both the fragile glass shades and jadite base were in outstanding condition (no chips, cracks or repairs) and yep....the lamp works great! The shades are made of a thin fragile light amber colored glass with a "swirl" design (see close-up pic). The base of the lamp is quite heavy .... made of jadite with a wonderful etched bird (think its a partridge) design around the entire perimeter of the middle round section (see pics). It's quite unusual as the remainder of the base is in a square design. The sockets are made of metal (I think its brass). Both the on/off switches press easily. Was told at the estate sale that this is a very early Fenton lamp and is quite rare (I suspected that it would have chips or broken shades when I purchased it, but was totally amazed at the condition...just needed a good old hand cleaning).
