is a vintage porcelain 5" figurine of a beautiful brown Dachshund - handpainted and glazed in excellent (MINT) condition, offered at NO RESERVE! Produced by the highly-regarded German porcelain manufa cturer Hutschenreuther (today a part of Rosenthal) in Selb, Bavaria, Germany . First produced in the Victorian / Art Nouveau or Art Deco Period and probably des igned by artist Karl Tutter , one of the most well-known animal and figure sculptors for Hutschenreuther. This rare figurine was produced about 40 years ago and is in excellent (MINT) condition and has made it through many years without any chips, cracks, flaws, crazing or repairs. It is truly a gorgeous collector's piece, with perfect coloring and charming details: the doxie has all the charm that makes him irrisistable, his long tail, stocky build, warm brown eyes and that keen black nose, the unfailing radar-detector that can smell a cookie from anyw in the house! I posed him up on his hind legs in a couple of the pictures for two reasons, so you could see his back, but also because that's how my dog looks when he tells me w he has located a treat, and this one sure looks like he knows he's going to get one!
