MODEL No. 2002

Up for auction is this RARE Vintage Porcelain Toaster, Catalog Number 2002, made by the Porcelier Mfg. Company of Greensburg, PA.

A pretty toaster, it was made during the 1930's. It has an ivory background with gold dots and filigree with black wheel spokes with an orange center which is featured in the filigree. It is decorated on each side. T is gold trim around the top and 2 gold lines around the base. The handles are a rope design and had gold trim at one time.

We do not have the original cord so we can not tell you that it works. When you push the "ON - OFF" lever, it makes a clicking noise while rising. It appears that all parts are present with the exception of the cord. The toaster is in excellent physical condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or scratches to the porcelain that I can see. The knob for light or dark seems stuck and may be rusted. I cannot tell but it should not be a problem to be fixed. (Maybe just a little DW40) The toaster stands 7.25" high, it is 8.5" wide not including the handles and 6" deep. It has been used and could use a good cleaning.
