Royal Copenhagen - Denmark Unusual & Vintage Floral Planter or Vase Ram's Horns on each corner! Up for auction this week is a very beautiful and unusual piece of Royal Copenhagen! It's almost too beautiful to be used as a planter, but also looks like a Cachepot or decorative wine chiller or server, but it's probally best described as a planter. It is ornate in decoration with fine handpainting of deep purple flowers. T is ornate hand applied gilding, and very detailed finely formed Goat or Ram's Head with curled horns, rams horns that also are gilded. The fine detail on the rams heads are amazing! The nose, ears, eyes are clearly defined as are the horns. To top it off are clusters of grapes on top of the rams head! Very festive I would say! This is in remarkable condition have been stored for decades and passed down to our family recently. The measurements are: 6" high when sitting on underplate or 5 1/4" with out underplate, and 7" across at widest angle, 5" on short side. Under plate is 5 1/4" by 6 1/2" at angle. The reason I describe this as rare is I have never seen one like it in person or on Ebay! It was produced to the high standards of Royal Copenhagen, and fine enough for the most discriminating taste! Would make a great surprise gift for someone very special! Please email with any questions or the need for more pictures. I can find no flaws to mention!
