My mother purchased this incredible set in the early 1940's. These are rare domed shaped shells in a rich dark green with accents of rusty orange and a soft ivory beige set in beautiful sterling silver filigree. (please see details about this rare unusual shell below) I've included a picture of the back so you can see the detailed work that was put into this.You can see the spiral of the shell pattern as well on each piece. Marked Sterling on both clasps. Set includes: Heart shaped drop necklace: measures 15" long with a 2 1/4" drop Bracelet: measures 8 1/4" long Earrings: Screwback dangle, can easily be adapted to pierced Ring: size 6 The rare "Eye of Shiva".shell A piece of jewellery as mysterious as its name: "the Eye of Shiva" is the name of the small "trap" door (operculum) protecting the tropical Turban Shell sea snail when danger looms. The natural death of the creature releases this protective disc - and is then a sought-after treasure.
