RARE VINTAGE TENON TOOLS FOR WAGON BUGGY SPOKES

This is a complete set of wagon builder's tools for cutting the tenon on spokes for wagon or buggy wheels. These augers come complete with the brace and bit. The first tool creates a cone at the top of the spoke. Then one of the other tools is used to actually tenon the top of the spoke to fit the felloe of the wheel you are working on. One auger is 1/2" , one is 1" and the third is fully adjustable to the most popular sizes of wagon or buggy wheels. For the last 15 years I have built chuckwagons as a hobby, but my health has me getting rid of my equipment. This set of antique tenon cutters is extremely hard to find, but very necessary if you are going to build or repair your own wheels. I used them often, creating better-fitting spokes than most you buy pre-tenoned. All the augers work as intended with the brace and bit, but I will confess to you that I often used them with a chuck and a small electric drill. I hope this description does these items justice.
