Something's Cooking This figurine depicts the domestically-challenged - Donald Duck - as he attempts the simplest of culinary activities in Walt Disney's animated short Chef Donald. The Walt Disney Classics Collection item number for this piece is 1217772. The incised annual production mark for this sculpture is the Butterfly from Bambi. This piece was the Walt Disney Classics Collection 2001 Event Sculpture. This sculpture was produced in a strictly limited edition of 5000. The edition sold out immediately. This sculpture is number 3470 in that edition. This sculpture bears a special Chef Donald Limited Edition 60th Anniversary backstamp. This sold-out sculpture has become an extremely collectible secondary market favorite with its value frequently exceeding $210.00. This sculpture is in mint condition and comes from a private collection. It has been stored in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment since its purchase. It has never been displayed. It has only been removed from its original box for purposes of inspection and to be photographed for this auction. It is sold in its original box with its unopened Certificate of Authenticity.
