This is a wonderful piece of vintage art pottery.It is a rare blue Louwelsa Weller vase.I believe it to be from around 1900. It is marked on the bottom with the round Louwelsa weller (with weller being very faint)This is a incised stamp.Also in this mark is a letter X and O that are stamped and incised.I also believe t is an artists initials in the middle but i cannot make this out .T is on the edge of the bottom what looks like a hand incised 4.The vase is beautiful.It is a hand painted floral of what I think is a iris or orchid with leafs.It is very well done and is a little raised on the surface of the vase.It fades from a beautiful cobalt blue to a dusky blue on the bottom.T is crazing throughout.Some of the crazing at the top looks to be crystalized.for lack of a better description.It actually looks worse in the photos than in person.It also loos lighter in color than it actually is .The crazing is not that noticable .It does not look like t is anything wrong with it but I have never seen this before.T are some very light surface scratches.Not alot at all.A few glaze pops but no chips or cracks.It measures about 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide.It is a very nice piece of artwork. I have sold on ebay before with a partner.I am no longer with them and now have to start over.I am a honest seller and a trustworthy one.I have been buying and selling antiques and collectables for about 25 years .My family has been in the business even longer.I know a little bit about a lot of thing and a lot about pottery and glass of many kinds. If anyone is at all weary of bidding .The user name that we were under before on ebay was Rugratfund.I believe You can still look at feedback even though it is no longer in use.
