WOW! When is the last time you saw a white Remington Portable typewriter? Remington portables were available in different colors, but most seem to turn up in black. Sometimes you may run across a red, blue, or green one, but white? It's actually more of an ivory color, and it's reported that this Remington Portable is a DeLuxe machine with its brown leather case, and was available in VERY limited numbers ( source) .The typebars on this machine have two positions; one for storage and one for use. I've shown them in both positions. The carriage also locks for storage! I've checked each key, and they all work. The ribbon is dry, but that can be replaced. The leather case has seen better days, but did its job in protecting the machine. T is some paint loss as you can see, but can you imagine what it would look like if the leather case had been discarded instead of taped up?
