is a rare (I know, the MOST over-used term on eBay!) opportunity to own a scarce piece of American history. It is this JOHN EK 1940's WW II ERA COMMANDO KNIFE with it's ORIGINAL BOX!. John Ek started making knives in the 1940's only available specifically for active-duty soldiers. This first-generation Model 5 is serial # G280, meaning it is the 7,280 knife of that model number, and has a Bowie-type blade, the backside being very sharp. The knife is in great condition, with no chips or scratches to the blade, and only minor small spotting that should polish out easily. All the spotting it DOES have is on the marked side of the blade. It measures 12 1/2" long, and has NEVER been sharpened since it left the factory. The maple handle with poured lead rivets is tight, and in MINT condition. No, this knife is NOT for sale, it is for auction. And I do NOT reveal my reserves. Any questions?
