This Compass was worn on the wrist by German Aircraft Pilots and was intended for use in orienting themselves in the case of a bailout or crash landing! The rotating top bezel is made of heavy, clear plastic and shows some slight surface scratches. T are no leaks anyw and the case still holds the original internal fluid. The needle moves freely and points to magnetic North. The bottom casement mount (with wrist straps) is made of black bakelite plastic. The bottom is clearly marked with the model number and manufacturer information. The leather wrist bands are soft and in excellent condition as is the buckle.
