ORIGINAL RARE WW1 GERMAN MAUSER MODEL 98 RIFLE LUMINOUS SIGHT ATTACHMENTS. Bought from local WWII veteran with other German souvenirs. First set of these I've come across - I found pictures and reference in the book "Mauser Bolt Rifles" by Ludwig Olson, pg106. "Luminous front and rear auxiliary sights for use in poor light were issued during WWI. Luminous rear sight was attached to the rear sight of the rifle, and luminous front sight was fastened on barrel behind regular front sight. Upper part of luminous front sight could be pivoted forward out of the way when not in use". One piece marked CL? Excellent condition! Rare WWI Mauser accessory! Guaranteed original! Please see my other auctions for more estate military items. Buyer Thank you and good luck!
