WWII 1905E1 Second Production Garand Bayonet -Wilde Tool 1943 Outstanding Finish and Condition!!!!! Thisis an all original 1905 E1 Second Production bayonet manufactured by Wilde Tool. This is a "cut down" - originally 16" reduced down to 10" by the bayonet manufacturers at the request of the US Military at the start of WWII . Wilde tool produced the fewest of the 1905 Second Production bayonets. These bayonets are extremely rare and this specimen is in excellent original condition. The point is finished in the "Spearpoint"style. The blade is in excellent condition with no nicks. The finish is all original with a small wear spot near the tip from being stored in the scabbard. T is some virtually no wear in the finish overall. The scales are in excellent condition. This bayonet was cut down by American Fork and Hoe as noted by the AFH stamped on the tang. The bayonet was stored after production in the depot until it was sold by the Army in early 2000. Wilde Tool Bayonets typically sell for over $150 on the net - this is your chance to own a museum quality bayonet starting at $0.99Included is a good condition US scabbard as noted by the US "Flaming Bomb" cartouche on the scabbard.
